If you’re looking for a husky pup then you’ve found the right place. It was such a
pleasure to work with Darcy, from getting pictures of Sierra every week, to making the
arrangement to pick Sierra up at the airport. I would refer anyone interested in a
Siberian Husky to the Dakota Kennels and Darcy, she’s the best. She truly does breed
for quality and not quantity.  Sierra is the most beautiful dog I have ever seen.  Darcy,
thank you for the pictures and support you provided throughout the whole process, we’ll
be sending pictures back your way as Sierra gets older.

Darcy is a very knowledgeable and experienced breeder that takes great care and time
with her huskies.  She breeds the right combination of her dogs and comes out with  the
best looking siberian huskies I have ever seen.  She keeps you informed through the
whole process before and after your puppy is born with updates and pictures and any
questions you may have about your puppies up to the day you receive your dog.

When we picked up our puppy at the airport, we were extremely impressed with all the
information she sent us. All the paperwork from the parents of my puppy plus their
pedigrees, eyes and hips information. All of Czars immunizations, bag of food, leash and
collar. She is an exceptional breeder that takes pride in her breedings and her dogs and
it truly shows.  Other breeders should look to and strive to be more like her.   I know our
puppy is of great quality. In the future I plan on getting another dog from her and her
only. Darcy knows her stuff and I have had a delightful, enlightening experience with her.

I would recommended her and her dogs to anyone.

I had searched for 13 months for the puppy whose "spirit" would catch my heart and
therefore I would know that she was the perfect fit for our family. I was pretty specific with
the eye color preference (brown) and the females markings and from the beginning,
Darcy said that if she did not have a pup for sale that met my needs, she would be
willing to help in any way possible!!! That is what I call going way over the top in
"customer service".

Darcy was so eager to ensure that her pups were placed in the right home for them, so
she made sure I understood the traits and qualities that our rambunctious little Huskies
can possess!!

Darcy shared pictures with me each week, reflecting "Keiko's" stage of growth and
actually had videos showing the pups playing in the snow and with one another, so I
really got to know Keiko's personality and was prepared with the purchase of plenty of
toys.

She advised me of the exact travel plans, what to expect, what she was including in her
"puppy package" (that was EXCELLENT!!!) and her AKC registration information...I even
got the extras that I personally asked for and offered to pay for.

The continued interaction between this breeder (gosh, it sounds so impersonal to call
Darcy by this name) convinced me that I was dealing with a very caring individual who
knew exactly what she was doing, had a great deal of experience and understanding of
the needs of a Sibe!

If I would ever have the need to purchase again (who knows, my last at home child may
decide she wants "my dog"), I would definitely not hesitate to contact Darcy and her
kennel again.

I would recommend her to anyone! Even my vet commented on the beauty, health, hips
and eyes of our precious pup! Darcy and her dogs are definitely keepers!

After the loss of our Siberian husky, Nanuck, of thirteen plus years, my husband and I
knew that we needed another husky in our family again. We knew the importance of a
healthy blood line and wanted to be assured that both sire and dam had been tested for
hip and eye problems. We started our search…we spent many hours on the internet,
newspaper, etc., looking for what we believed to be a trusted, reputable, breeder that
cares about the dog’s health and welfare above all. After we completed our research, it
was a very easy decision, Darcy and her Dakota Kennels was where we wanted to get
our new husky puppy from.

We emailed her time and time again with questions and concerns about our new puppy
and the procedures up until the time that we picked “Rogue” up. She was extremely
prompt and throughout with her replies back. Darcy is very friendly, but also very
professional – she made us feel like we had known her for years! We received pictures
at least once a week if not more often. We were extremely comfortable with the whole
process.

When we picked Rogue up, she was even more helpful and enjoyable in person! She
showed us her other puppies and adult dogs – they all were extremely well cared for and
beautiful!!

We are absolutely in love with Rogue, he has the most beautiful markings and his eyes
just make you melt! We would recommend Darcy and her puppies to anyone that is
looking for a quality husky to care for and love as much as she does!

August 2008

After looking off and on again over six months for an AKC black and white, female,
Siberian Husky puppy anywhere in the United States and viewing hundreds of puppy
photos, I came across Dakota Kennels.  Lucky for me, Dakota Kennels had a puppy
picture of just the girl I was looking for but it was a long, long way from Texas!  Darcy
promptly responded to my e-mail inquiry, talked with me by phone numerous times,
answered all my questions, and sent me additional pictures and videos so that I could
make my decision.

Given that the high temperatures from early July through the month of August make
sending a puppy by plane to DFW too risky and/or is actually prohibited during this
period, I had two options.  Wait two months to meet my puppy or drive 800 miles one
way to Dakota Kennels (1,600 miles round-trip) at the first opportunity in my schedule to
bring my puppy home by car.
Darcy was very helpful, worked with me over a three-week period until I could get there,
and sent me updated pictures/videos during my wait.

The 11-week-old puppy I now have is beyond my expectations!  She is extremely
inquisitive, warm, loving, alert, playful, at the same time calm, and according to my vet
here in Texas, a healthy puppy!  My 7-year-old, female Siberian bonded with her right
away and the two have been getting along with each other extremely well.

I had a rare opportunity to visit Dakota Kennels and meet Darcy as well as her dogs.
They are well-cared for and seem very content.  I would not hesitate to buy another
puppy from Dakota Kennels and I am more than happy to recommend Dakota Kennels
to others looking for a Siberian Husky.

Darcy was amazingly patient with all of our questions and went out of her way to get us
hooked up with our little Elkhound fuzzball. The puppy was obviously well treated and
socialized before we got her.

She adapted well to the new home and is a delight to have around. Never for a moment
was she scared or shy, she got along with our other pets from the first moment they met.

She loves everyone she meets and everyone who meets her falls in love. Elkhounds
have wonderful personalities anyway, but it seems she came from good parents and a
good home. A beautiful pup with classic Elkhound form and color.

I have already recommended Dakota Kennels to friends looking for both Huskies and a
“good dog around kids” (aka- elkhound). I hope we won’t be in the market for another
dog anytime soon, but if we are you can bet we’ll contact Dakota Kennels first!
